Chemical
fibers are where TDC started off. The corporation's products include polyester chip,
polyester filament, drawn textured yarn, as well as high
value-added products such as fine denier and fancy yarns.
Currently, TDC's Chemical Fibers Division
has a daily production capacity of 700 tons, a level at which it can already
benefit from economies of scale. The polymer plant No. 4 production line was established by TDC'S own technic and TDC hold said patent.
In addition to
strengthening the development of new products,
upgrading product quality and developing new markets, it has been the Chemical
Fibers Division's ongoing research and development effort that has enabled it
to maintain competitiveness in the face of international competition. In 1993,
TDC was the first company in its sector to obtain ISO-9002 attestation; it subsequently
went on to obtain ISO-9001 and ISO-14000 quality and environmental protection
attestation. In March 1997, TDC received an Award for Excellence in Industrial
Technology Development from the Ministry of Economic Affairs. These achievements
symbolize recognition, both at home and abroad, of the corporation's achievements
in R&D and industrial upgrading. AS market situations keep changing, Tuntex decided to
focus only on sophisticated items. That is to end off staple and pet resin plants and
Tuntex Distinct Corp. only engage in production while sales goes to Tuntex Synthetic Corp.
